A Remembrance to a Great Dog

Ruger was our first GSD, we purchased him from a breeder locally. He was without question the nicest pigmented sable I have seen. He was a for real dog, tough enough to patrol the toughest streets in the USA. He was an awesome family protector and my wifes lapdog. He would protect our family and if I ever get another dog half as obedient as Ruger I will have it made. Unfortunately he was the victim of bad genes, he was diagnosed at 5 1/2 months with UAP. He was neutered and hip Xrays were taken that revealed significant hip dysplagia. He lived with us as our family dog .
